Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 4
CMMI ('Capability Maturity Model Integration'), developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) is a model of 5 levels of process 'maturity' that determine effectiveness in delivering quality software. It is recognized as a most comprehensive way of evaluating a software company’s capability to deliver and support quality software.
An organization that has achieved CMMI Level 4 employs standard software development and maintenance processes that are integrated throughout the organization; a Software Engineering Process Group is in place to oversee software processes, and training programs are used to ensure understanding and compliance. Metrics are used to track productivity, processes, and products. Project performance is predictable, and quality is consistently high.
DIN EN ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO 9001 Standards
International Standards Organization’s DIN EN ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO 9001 Standards are used globally for external quality assurance, and specify requirements which determine what elements a Quality System has to contain. The requirements are generic and independent of any specific industry or economic sector.
